Going camping in the wild for the weekend is great, but what if you could make it a full-time job? Nature photographers spend all of their time getting shots of beautiful landscapes and trying to capture animals in the wild. If you want to be a photographer, the first thing you need to do is start taking pictures. Invest some money in a decent quality camera and just get out there. If you’re good enough and you get some great shots, you can start trying to sell them to magazines or websites. Like any freelance job, it’ll take a lot of hard work before you start earning enough money, but it’ll be worth it in the end.

This one isn’t for everybody and you should think long and hard about it before you make a decision. You have to remember that there is always the chance that you’ll be involved in combat, but if you can deal with that, the military offer some great opportunity for adventure. You’ll get the chance to travel around the world to countries that you might not otherwise be able to go to. It’s a very active job and no two days are the same, but the dangerous aspect of it isn’t for everybody and you’ll have to live a very regimented lifestyle so think about it before signing up.

Tour guide doesn’t sound like a particularly adventurous job but depending on where you do it, it can be. You could be a guide for nature walks, spending your days hiking through beautiful landscapes or you could travel abroad and be a city guide. There is a lot of demand for English speaking tour guides around the world so you’ve got a lot of opportunities.

Work doesn’t have to be boring if you don’t want it to be. There are endless opportunities out there for people with an adventurous personality.
