Where to Shop for the Best Housewarming Gift

Your close friends have recently moved to their new house and you were so happy and excited for them. Then, a few weeks later, you’ve got an invitation to a housewarming party. Suddenly, the excitement turned into a bunch of dilemmas – what to wear, whose parents to call to take care of the kids while you are partying, and, most importantly, what gift to buy… And where?

If this sounds familiar, then you know how stressful it can be to rush from one place to another in an attempt to find something that your friends will likely want to have in their new place. Not to mention that we all leave shopping to the last minute, because what else to expect when one needs to work, pick up kids from school, go to parents’ house for lunch, workout in the evening and do all the chores in the meantime?!

However, last minute shopping doesn’t have to cause you headaches anymore. That said, you do need to know where to shop.

Flower market

Moving to the new house is a long and tiring process that no one really enjoys. It is highly unlikely that your friends were able to find enough time to visit flower markets and choose a tropical house plant for their new home.

But that’s why they have you, no?

Cheer them up with a beautiful Golden Mimosa that easily adapts indoors and doesn’t require a lot of space to grow. If their new home has a backyard, consider buying a bigger and more graceful plant such as a Bronze Spike or a Bird of Paradise.

Luckily, the internet brings you closer to millions of online gifts that can be both useful and decorative. From glass storage containers and wine racks to cool cups and bright-colored, personalized towels, the internet offers a wide range of amazing gifts your friends will thank you for.

Vintage store

Sometimes, the best way to make a new house look modern is to find a place for a couple of rustic elements.

If you are unsure of what pieces of furniture your friends are yet to buy, ask their parents or those friends who perhaps already visited them.

In most vintage stores you can find a selection of quality handmade rustic furniture, authentic kitchen elements, as well as a wide range of smaller antiques that easily fit into any room.

Organic pharmacy

As weird as it may sound, organic pharmacies are among the likeliest places to find the perfect gift.

If you are a pragmatic person who prefers buying products that can be used on a daily basis, an organic pharmacy is your place to visit before you go to the housewarming party.

There you can find anything from natural hand soaps to organic scented candles and diffusers approved by customers who care about the quality of the products they use.

If you want to let your friends choose for themselves, a gift voucher is perfect, because it’s usually valid for at least a couple of months. This gives them enough time to think about what they really want to buy.

Beverage outlet

You can’t go wrong with a nicely packed beverage.

Given that your friends’ housewarming party is a special occasion, search for spirits that they like the most. Try to remember what drink they ordered the last time you visited a restaurant together.

If they’ve told you about the country they plan to visit soon, choose a wine that the particular country is the most famous for.

You don’t need to spend a lot of money to put a smile on your friends’ faces.
